In June 1998 Dr. Judson saw her first patients at CVC and for over 15 years we have provided Islanders with exceptional eyecare. Dr. Susan L. Judson
Originally from Alexandra PEI, Dr. Susan Judson graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from University of Waterloo in 1993. After practicing for five years In Summerside, it was time to move closer to home, and she opened Charlottetown Vision Care on North River Road in 1998.
After many years of providing vision care to Island families, Dr. Judson is honoured to have developed a loyal patient base who have come to expect competent, compassionate and complete vision assessments. She has a special interest in children’s vision, and is thrilled to see her young patients return year after year.
Dr Judson is a member of the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO), and The Prince Edward Island Association of Optometrists (PEIAO). In the past she has served as PEIAO President and Registrar of the Prince Edward Island College of Optometrists. She is currently serving as co-chair of the Children’s Vision Initiative committee of PEIAO.
When not at work she volunteers with the PEI Chinese School and spends time with her family and friends. She lives in Alexandra with her husband, Paul, and her daughter Qiao.
Dr. Bonnie L. Gallant
Dr. Bonnie Gallant, an Islander who grew up in North River, completed a Bachelor of Science from the University of Prince Edward Island in 2001. She then completed the Doctor of Optometry program with excellent standing from the University of Waterloo in 2005, where she was awarded the Optelec/Schweizer Low Vision Award. As part of her training, she completed an internship in ocular pathology and therapeutics at the Eye Foundation of Utah in Salt Lake City.
Dr. Gallant first became a member of the Charlottetown Vision Care team as a summer student assistant in 2002. She was thrilled to return in 2005 as a practicing optometrist.
Dr. Gallant is a member of the Prince Edward Island Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists (CAO). She serves as PEI’s provincial representative on both the CAO Council and the National Public Education Committee.
Dr. Gallant lives with her husband, Shaun, and daughter, Lucy, in St. Catherines, PE.
Dr. Jeff Harding
Dr Jeff Harding was born and raised in Fredericton NB. He fell in love with PEI at an early age through summer camping trips to the island with his family and Grandparents, who were former islanders.
Jeff obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New Brunswick before completing his Optometry Degree at the University of Waterloo. His education included externships in Saint John, NB and Alabama. Upon graduation in 2001, he was awarded the Canadian Association of Optometry's Award of Merit for academics and overall contributions to the school.
Dr Harding's first optometric job was with Dr Judson in the earlier days of Charlottetown Vision Care. He served as PEI's representative on the CAO's national council for 3 years. In 2007, he returned to Fredericton to work with Spectrum Vision Clinic upon retirement of his father Dr Ron Harding. Missing life on PEI, he returned to PEI in the summer of 2012. He and his wife Julie now reside in MeadowBank with their 4 young children.
Dr Harding's passions include hockey, fitness and traveling with his family. They can be found most weekends exploring the beauty and adventure of PEI
